Description
After Brion Markov, the lead engineer of project "Atom", escaped with all his technology, the government enlisted the aid of his only relative, his sister Tara who promised to help find her brother. Being a scientist herself, Tara was able to recreate some of her brother's technologies, and those that she could not recreate she replaced with Thanagarian technology left from Dr. Minerva's venture into the Hawkman's base. The Nth-Metal-based technology did not allow to shrink down to microscopic or subatomic size, but in shrunken size the wearer of the experimental Bluejay outfit was able to fly and was much stronger and more durable because of the Nth Metal's energy field. Tara tried to escape to find Brion on her own, but the government gave her the ultimatum - she either surrenders the prototype costume and helps to find her brother - or she is labelled a traitor and a criminal. But Tara chose the third option - she forced her way out, escaped and joined a non-government-controlled superhero team, the Titans - as the Bluejay. It gave the Titans some new headache - but the team can work it out.
