Good sketch of the flowing dress and pose, it's hard to make natural movement in drawings.

Thank you! I was on such a tight schedule at the time that I didn't get to make it as complete as I'd like. But, the authoress was happy with it. The girl's appearance was influenced by Veronica Lake, one of the suggestions I made when we were figuring out how the characters should look.
A friend used to tease me that I always had motion in my drawings~even the still lifes. *giggle* I often picture the subjects being caught in mid-motion but am not sure that I catch the feeling of life.

Thank you! I appreciate the feedback. This is one of several I'd like to work on some more considering the deadline made it necessary to focus on portraits and not the background. Well, I do love portraits the most.
When I can hook up my scanner, I'll be able to add many more sketches. I also plan to try my hand at sketching again though I have to wait till my right hand is more functional. It's getting close!

As noted, she is a character in a fanzine with a pirate storyline, one inspired by an episode of "Simon & Simon". For a while, I was very in-demand as an illustrator for fanzines, those done the old-fashioned way. I really would like to revisit some of the portraits to see what I could add.
