Uh.This started off as a doodle for *Azumizai for the sake of doing a doodle. I don't know how but it ended up... a lot more elaborate than I'd expected.
Tried out a new way to shade. It was fun! And easy. Only took me maybe two hours to colour it all. That's fast for me, okay.
This is a scene from Chapter 15 of Azu's Hetalia 'fic Feverish . If you wanna know what's going on... read it.
Fun fact: I completely forgot about Gilbert when I finished the other three last night. I went to scan the doodle, but then for some strange, STRANGE reason the scanner refused to talk to the computer. I left it and went to bed, came back to it today and remembered I'd left Gil out. I drew him in, and somehow the composition looked better. That and the scanner and computer are on speaking terms again.
I guess he's just that awesome.
Lineart done in pen (yay for drafty lines!), toning done on PhotoShop with a mouse. Hope you like it my Canadian beta-ee, and hope this gives you some oomph to finish off the next chapter!

That's actually kind of funny... I liked the story so much that I wrote about three pages of comments that I wanted to send to her, but it sounds dumb when I read it again. I'll just have to say it's more awesome than Prussia or something like that.

I quite like this! (I figure I'll comment before I go home, since I imagine it'll be a looooooong time before I'll get there, given the weather and time)
One thing I'll say about this piece is that the proportions are very well done, though Canada (that IS Canada, right?) is very very teeny tiny. Either that or the person carrying him is just really really big.
I DO like his coat, though, the person-carrying-person-who-might-be-Canada. It looks warm. Like something Lear could wear. XD
I have to wonder how USA got that cut on his cheek. No, I will not read the fic, no offense meant, because I have no time to immerse myself in another fandom. I'm hardly finished with Zutara, darnit! D8

Oh yes. Germany (the one with the badass coat) is big. Big, tall, Aryan and really tank.
Um... in short, America got that cut on his face by running through a glass door. That's not the only thing he got from accomplishing such a feat, of course.

Great job on this - it's a fitting tribute to that story 
One thing I'm really loving about the composition here is that...you made Matthew look so small and vulnerable, and that little subtlety just brings the scene to life.

Ah! This is so awesome! A great pick to colour it this way, it really works with the composition. And YES. XD Gilbert, you did indeed balance it all out.
Looking at the pic, I could see how it'd look find without Gilbert, but it'd be a bit off-centre. This way, it centres more on Germany carrying Canada and it gives a good feel to it. I like it a lot. I've already listed all the things I've liked about it BEFORE, but let's see if there's anything more I can say.
You did well with just black and white to create variations in their clothes. I fall victim to just making it all the same shade of grey... or it just looks like they're wearing the same 'colour'. This looks great.
I like how you remembered his cheek. While I don't MENTION it in the fic, because it's not important, he'd indeed have a bandage there. And... Mattie looks so down. Don't look down Mattie! You have a heroic brother who murders TRASHCANS for you!
I just noticed that Canada's not wearing any dark grey. I like it. I dunno if that's intentional, but he's not wearing any dark grey and it works.
