Description The entrance to the East Japan Railway Culture Foundation's Ome Railway Park at the western edge of Tokyo is marked by a large stone sign and a steam locomotive on static display: Japanese Government Railways (JGR)/Japanese National Railways (JNR) Mikado (2-8-2) D51.452, which was built by Kisha Seizo in 1940 and retired from Hokkaido in 1975.

A beautiful mikado, I must say. The paint may be a little worn, but it's still nice.

Yes, it is the same type!  I've yet to see any D51 Mikados dressed as Hiro, but I did see a Consolidation repainted as Hiro.
