Description
This was me being naughty. I SHOULD have been working on other projects, but sometimes you just have to follow your muse. This started out as a simple adoptable bid, but then it snowballed out of control. I really needed the background practice, though, so it was time well spent.

IF I get this guy, his name will be Sabre (like the sword). I just love his design, especially because he looks like he's wearing four hairy boots. I envision him as a tough stallion living in a frigid environment.

This was my first time digitally painting snow, a forest, and a mountain. I will admit, I'm a little disappointed with the trees since you can't see all their variations from afar. (Guess I learned my lesson about wasting time on small details like that!) I also wanted to give soft-cell shading another try with the horse. Overall, this piece was a ton of fun and I'm very happy with how it turned out.

EDIT: I did win this fellow, so Sabre is officially mine.
