"See, Pumbaa? I told you that finding a Moon Stone for him was totally worth the effort!"And it was, or the Pikachu and his Ivysaur buddy would have been Nidoqueen chow by now. In Mufasa's pride, young Nidorinas and Nidorinos were given their moon stones as a rite of passage. And as soon as Nala evolved, she fled Scar's tyrant reign...
Turned out to be the winning entry for the contest at TLKFAA, which seemed like fun. Topic was to replace the TLK cast with creatures, legendary or otherwise, and see how it affected the story.

This was such a freaking cool entry! I still love looking back on it, you did such an awesome idea! I love how Simba and Nala are still so recognizable even in Pokemon forms.

Blocks are just the absolute worst. Sometimes it's just a matter of falling out of the habit. I usually force my way through it kicking and punching and make it out just fine to the other side.
Oh lawd, I did. I'm totally swamped right now and just wanted to do something really really silly that took very little effort. TLKFAA was the best community I've ever been apart of. I'm not sure what it was.

Hello! Yep, falling out of the habit nails it! I need to fall back into it again.
The German board at pride-lands.org is active and alive, mainly because of the admin who wouldn't let it die and kept it modern and up-to-date. It's one of the really nice and calm corners of the web, very little drama and just spirited discussion and community. It's been there since 1999 when the lk.org boards closed, and a lot of people are surprised that they have an ancient account there somewhere in the english speaking section.

I have no idea what it is about the lion king fandom but it has consistently produced some of the nicest and most talented people I've ever had the pleasure to know online. I'll have a look!

The only problem is that ivysaur is grass while nidoqueen is ground.Β Pikachu/Timon wouldn't have stood a chance though.Β Regardless it is a neat adaptation!

Ivysaur is part poison type, so any ground attack would be nicely effective against him, while Nidoqueen's secondary poison typing would protect her a bit against grass attacks.

I thought about the hyenas for a while, but there must be a more original replacement. ^^ It should be a PokΓ©mon that's both silly and loathsome. Hm. That live in a graveyard. Ghost types maybe, like Haunter or Gengar.

What about Houndour/Houndoom or Cubone/Marowak? They all wear bones. Or maybe Grimer/Muk since they're gross and they could live in the geysers.
