"this is me, beside myself"i'm really not sure i want a 'self portrait' type picture in here. this is me, sat quietly with myself, while i am stood looking out of my window in atlanta. watching planes, thinking of puerto rico, thinking of piedmont, thinking of a lot of things really.
"i'm talking to myself, i'm talking to the only one i know"
crap, this is turning into self-psychoanalysis! i grew up an only child, i don't know what it means to be by myself chiefly because i am always 'there' with me. more than a few people *tell* me i am a gemini for all of the traits and things i have, but i'm not. i am one self-contained little crab.
"did anybody see myself? my self... excuse me, but do you know my real name?"
probably the best way to live life is to erase all the contrails you can. never burn a bridge, but never look back at the grass on the 'other side' either.
"i turn sideways to the sun and in a moment i am gone"
so this is me... and me... and me... and... well, you get the idea.

I jump in at deep ends, always. Crap conversation bores me silly. I lose jobs because of it.

Heather, confering with thieves and bandits last night and today. I just can't seem to stay out of trouble, in that realm. Hm. Must be my theatre background, in some weird and wonderful way.
Which comes first: me, putting up with too many assholes, or, rebounding into the realms of..hm..what would we call these people? Not sure.
Both mentally ill, in some way. Yet, some of the most straight forward and refreshing gentlemen I've met in a long while. Why is that? *grin*
Have fun in Arizona. I almost moved there. Longer story. Part of the nightmare. Wait for the movie to come out. Less brain strain. I moved on from that world. I lived.
I live. Most merely exist. That is all.
And check out Dave. I'm serious. He's an asshole as males go, but he's a knight from days of old when it comes to solving your Internet problems. I have no clue what he is up to, these days (nor, am I interested, to be real honest) but whenever someone mentioned looking for a Braveheart (not a Bravenet, Christ!) to work their dials, I think on Dave.

I know I have looked at this piece before and I really thought I commented but obviously I didn't, this piece gives me a great sense of deja vu and makes me feel like we have talked before about this piece and this is a very strange feeling and I can't explain it and I can't stop staring at all the yous and the one that moves me the most is the you sitting on the bed because you are hunched over and appear defeated and all but one other you has their back to you or is looking away as if they can't be bothered by your burden and the only one looking seems to be reaching out to you, I could easily get lost in this image

wow, thanks. you are too kind! this was a pretty interesting day, and the moods i went thru, well i wanted to catch them all... originally it was going to be a series of images in a line. but this seemed to really sum up what was happening...
i was waiting for a plane... i was going somewhere new. nothing was ever the same.

Wow, I love this effect! It gives me the whole looking at your self through a mirror while at the same time being on the other side of it feel.

Interesting concept. The picture was done well. It lends a sort of dreamy feeling to it. Like something out of a movie. I like what you wrote here also. Makes a lot of sense. I was not an only child... but I was raised like one since my youngest sister had moved out long before I was born. I know very much how it is to never be alone... and yet you are.

Yo Xam, I love this picture. It's a great concept for a self portrait. Such wonderful use of advanced film techniques. I have no idea how you did this and that's probably what captivates me about it. I don't think anything like this is possible with digital. But if it is I'd love to know how.

I like this image, but even more so, I love the story behind it. I was an only child, as well, and I know exactly what you mean. I'm never alone. I'm always there with me.
