I'm not sure if I understood your question entirely, but I tied all the string up at the top and when I reached the bottom of this pattern, the string are aligned the same way as the top of the pattern so I could repeat it

SO gonna try this!!
how do you do knots if you're using 2 embroidery flosses for each string? do you just treat them as if they were one?

Yeah, just treat them as one string. It's to make the armlet thick enough

Pretty awesome idea!
However, if I am to assume that this is actually a video game on a historical level (as in not modern times), then it probably isn't a friendship bracelet, but rather tablet weaving. It was actually common throughout history for sleeves, trim, and belts.

I used to draw lots of those patterns by hand, figuring how the thread goes was better than Sudoku XD
EH, been years. Might want to make one when I finally go and buy the game...
I think you could also use some nice colored wool or really thin ribbons for this.

Or colored leather cords. Probably a bit awkward to tie but should be possible, shouldn't it.

I can't imagine leather cords to be able to make the nice even knots? I'd love to hear the results if you ever try it ^^

Nah, it's doable. [link] This is mostly messy because I was in a hurry. (procrastinating before test much?)
Finding someone who sells pieces that are longer than 1m and the fact that it'll end up veeery wide would be bigger problems.

Fantastic idea, thanks!! So far as the string, try the heavier wax coated stuff - not the super heavy leather sewing wax string - the mini weight. It will flex slightly but not break easily. (forgive me for not remembering the proper name, will find out though and link).
Anyway, your idea was great and thats whats important - good luck on the next version! xD
