You know you are just trying to make me draw Hitsu with kitten fanart... and you know it's WORKING!!! You know the cat would wander around the office and Matsumoto would spoil the damn thing, it would end up just as lazy as her. I for one like to believe that since Matsumoto's zanpaktou's name translates to "ash cat", then one would presume it's avatar is a cat, and therefore... THEREFORE, I like to imagine that Hitsu is allergic to cats. Because above all, I seem to love to torture the poor guy. His one weakness you ask? Well, besides Hinamori ....... watermelons.

Ichigo's father's name is Isshin. Or Isshinigami as some like to call him now

I was going for tired/sad, but you can't really see his eyebrow under his bangs, and since I drew it only to cover it up, I know what is looks like and therefore have a different take. It's all in the eyebrows damnit!!!! I always want to color in his eyes, and I always do them first. They're so damn pretty!

Mmmmm, I'll reply to this one first, even though I know that the last and final comment you made must therefore be the Byakuya one and I'm itching to argue that case.... but no. This first. Chronological. Okay. Focus....

Hitsugaya really does have ridiculously pretty eyes. I agree--it is all about the eyebrows. Good Lord, you can tell with Kon is in Ichigo's body instead of Ichigo SOLELY based on the difference in the eyebrows! You know, if you knit your eyebrows all the time, I wonder if your eyebrow muscles would get all big.... That would be interesting.

Isshinigami... That's clever. See? We should have KNOWN! (that he was a Shinigami, I mean... 'cuz of his name... ... ... Anyway.)

Watermelons! AHA!!! Heehee, did Ukitake give him watermelon candy? I want to see him walk into his office one day and there's a big box on his desk and he sighs and goes 'What now? What is this?' all peeved and whatnot and goes and opens it and goes, "AHHHHHHHHHHH WATERMELONS!!!!" and then takes one out and hugs it, going, "Watermelonwatermelonwatermelon-ywatermmmmmmmmmmmmmelon!" and then he dances around the room with it. Meanwhile, everyone stands around shocked. Really, I just want Hitsu to be really really undignified for just a moment. One moment. One little panel. That's all I want!

I love his eyes! I almost always color them first in any picture. Soooo pretty Once again we see a practicaly aplication of the importance of eyebrows in the anime facial expression... (I feel like I should be lecturing fanart 101 )

Isn't it though. There's also the classic "Hichigo" for Hollow!Ichigo, or "Shirosaki", which IMO is more clever, but takes more knowledge of the Japanese language (the fact that Kuroi is black and Shiroi is white).

Ummmm.... undignified Hitsu huh? I will have to ponder on that...

I suppose I see him of more of a cat person than a dog person, but still, ALLERGIC SAYS I!!!!!

Heeheehee, poor Hitsu would have red scratches criss-crossing his face and he'd probably be even surlier than he is NOW because of it. And because everyone would giggle about it behind his back ("He's got the most powerful water/ice zanpakutou and he got the crap kicked out of him by a CAT?!" *snigger*), and he would know they were saying this, and people would delight in going, "OH, my GOD! Hitsugaya (Taichou)! What HAPPENED?!" even though they already know very well what happened, but they'd all ask anyway just because it would piss him off and be really funny when he gets all pouty and goes, "NOTHING. GO AWAY."

Scowl and stroke... yeah... hrm... Maybe not. Hopefully, nobody'll read this and get ideas. I don't need THAT scarring.

Oooooh, Hitsugaya could be even MORE badass with a shredded captain's cloak! Hey, maybe that's why Kenpachi's cloak is all shredded... Hahaha, you'd think Urahara's cloak would be a little more disheveled, too...

That however, it an art bunny I chase away, or possibly shoot. Just noooooooo.

He's far too tidy and organized to have a shredded cloak though. He could get it all beat up in battle, but you know he'd then have a new one made. Gotta look professional, so your colleagues will overlook the fact you haven't hit puberty yet I see Urahara as keeping his cloak un-shredded, but it would have weird "mystery stains" on it. *cue X-Files or possible Twilight Zone music. Your choice*

Yes. I keep a collection of demonic, starving art bunnies in my pocket at all times expressly for the purpose of discreetly setting them loose every time I come over so they can hide in the corners of your apartment, and then when you log onto DeviantArt, they have little sensors implanted in their heads that put them in a rabid sort of frenzy, and when you read my comments, they all feel the irrepressible compulsion to LEAP at you from above, behind, the side, in front of, below, everywhere. It's all very diabolic.

Yeah, Hitsugaya probably keeps like eighteen cloaks on or around him at all times. It's his zanpakutou's special SPECIAL power--regeneration or replacement of Captain's cloaks. That's actually why they made him a captain. They said, "Well... he's already GOT all these cloaks... I mean, really, economically, it makes the most sense...." *art bunnies perk up their ears*

Mystery stains, eh? You know, I bet Urahara would put random stains on his own cloak just to get that 'man of mystery' aura, if he thought of it.

Assuming the person challenging you wasn't a captain, the scenario could possibly go,
"PREPARE TO FACE THE WRATH OF MY BLADE!!!!!!!!!" and you could go--
"Hold on. Allow me to change into my REAL uniform." *casually put on captain's cloak* "You were saying?" and hopefully--HOPEFULLY--they wouldn't be idiots Ichigo-style and persistently try to battle you and would instead decide that they'd rather live. And if it WAS a captain, maybe they'd go, "Hey! I actually some more of those! Mine keep getting shredded by these starving bunnies that seem to have infested the place--screw this fight, wanna join my division?" Cool captains like Shunsui or Ukitake would be all over that.

You know what, I really like the idea that Ukitake just goes around Soul Society collecting misfits for his division. His obsessive 3rd-seats, Kaien I suspect he was friends with (plus, Kaien seems like a troublemaker, so I suspect he was going from division to division Renji-style making trouble until Ukitake finally said, "Here--give him to me. He has problems with authority, fine! I'll make HIM the authority." And Ukitake would be good at seeing repressed potential and bringing that out in struggling or underappreciated people, he clearly has a vested interest and cares greatly for all the Shinigamis in his division. Which is why I think he and Unohana would be a good ship--Unotake? Ukihana? --but they both have divisions filled with people who might be a little stepped on. Rukia's a good example of that, too--she had nobility thrust upon her, graduated early, and all the other Shinigami despised her without even knowing her.

I badly want to know what Urahara was like in Soul Society. Do you think he and Shunsui would get along swimmingly and drink and be lazy together? I'm iffy on that--I think either it would be that or Urahara would get on Shunsui's nerves because he's tricky and manipulative, untrustworthy, shifty, that sort of thing, and Shunsui is, if anything, completely straightforward. Urahara and Gin I think would trade high-fives in the streets, but Gin's loyalty was already taken by Aizen... Sa-ad.
