BIO

Elsee Chapman was an interesting woman. She never let on exactly was she was thinking, and mantained a light hearted composure throughout the entire conversation thus far.

"Well," she said, "about a day passed in that truck, until we arrived at what Monique called, 'our first destination.' I wasn't in the best of moods at the time. But, things got really strange when we stepped out of that truck. We were in a small town, somewhere in the Midwest, I'd wager. The town's name was, if I remember, 'nowhere.' Talk about you're rough spots. It took Randy and Nick to hold me back from throttling Monique, though at the time, I'm sure she could have killed me. She then, as composed as ever, told us to lay low for a few days. Again. I couldn't help but feel she had an agenda, but just try telling that to our ragtag group. Nick suspected it, but had decided to trust her. Mendel was too distracted by the fact that he was a fugitive to care, and Randy, poor kid, had been taken against his will from home. We weren't exactly capable of doing anything except trusting a complete stranger. She hadn't even spoken a hundred words to us.

Well, a few days later we were told to enter the truck again. The driver was a man wearing a Red Sox hat and sunglasses. He talked like a bad Elvis impersonator, if I remember. Well, he told us a few things about 'the fight not being over' or something. We then had to clamber back into the truck. This time, pinch me, I was next to Mendel, serving as an indirect tissue.

But then, we stopped suddenly. We got out of the truck, and we were in the middle of what looked like the grand canyon, except there was no way it was made by erosion. It was made by something. I could tell.

We were led down into the canyon, and were each handed what looked like weapons, but I wasn't sure. We were also handed some scientific measuring equipment. GOOD equipment. I couldn't help but feel that we were involved in something in something bigger than any of us. And boy, let me tell you, bigger is a very fitting word to describe what we saw down there. For, lo and behold, before us were giant monsters, duked out in battle. One was a giant Gila Monster, and the other was..."

Abilities

-Armed with a poisonous bite and sharp claws

-Very Lethargic, it rarely engages an enemy

(Note: This is what I meant by different, if you can't tell already. I loved, and still do love Godzilla the series. Very entertaining. But there were just too many things that didn't with the Go G-verse. Too many monsters based on others that already existed, and the plot concept was entertaining, yet a bit nonsensical. You get the idea. So, I had to change a few factors, keeping the Japanese movies and the original Zilla movie in mind while still mantaining the series' feel. You might not see some of the monsters from the series you remember, but there are some good, very clever substitutes. Gila, for one, is from a Godzilla childrens book, and hasn't ever really made any appearances. And, since there was a giant Gila Monster in the series, I thought it'd be perfect to throw him in. Use your imaginations a little, and this story will prove all the more entertaining. Enjoy. ) -Jared
